You will need yarn in three different colors:

  • For the rose bloom: Choose shades of red, orange, or yellow. Of course, you can also use any other color you like.
  • For the leaves: Use shades of green.
  • For the border: Choose a color of your choice.

Crochet Instructions

The hook size should be adjusted to the thickness of your yarn.

Instructions:

  • Round 1: Color A
    Chain 6 into a magic ring,
    Slip stitch into the first sc.

  • Round 2:
    Chain 1, 1 sc,
    Chain 3, skip 1 stitch, 1 sc repeat 1x
    Chain 3,
    Slip stitch into the first sc.

  • Round 3:
    Slip stitch into the next chain space, 1 sc + 1 hdc + 3 dc + 1 hdc + 1 sc in the same chain space,
    1 sc + 1 hdc + 3 dc + 1 hdc + 1 sc in the next chain space repeat 1x,
    Slip stitch into the first sc.

  • Round 4: Crochet behind the petals of the previous round.
    Chain 1,
    1 RfMh around 1 hdc of the 3rd round, 3 chain repeat 5x,
    Slip stitch into the first RfMh.

  • Round 5:
    Slip stitch into the next chain space, 1 sc + 1 hdc + 3 dc + 1 hdc + 1 sc in the same chain space,
    1 sc + 1 hdc + 3 dc + 1 hdc + 1 sc in the next chain space repeat 4x,
    Slip stitch into the first sc.

  • Round 6: Crochet behind the petals of the previous round.
    Chain 2,
    1 RfMh around the middle dc of the 5th round, 5 chains
    repeat 5x,
    Slip stitch into the first RfMh.

  • Round 7:
    Slip stitch into the next chain space, 1 sc + 1 hdc + 5 dc + 1 hdc + 1 sc in the same chain space,
    1 sc + 1 hdc + 5 dc + 1 hdc + 1 sc in the next chain space repeat 4x,
    Fasten off and close the round invisibly in the first hdc.

  • Round 8: Color B
    Start in the middle dc of a petal
    1 sc in the middle dc of a petal, 5 chains, a 3-dc-puff between the hdc and the 1st dc of the next petal, 5 chains, a 3-dc-puff in the same space, 2 chains, 1 sc between the last dc and the hdc of the same petal, 5 chains, 1 sc between the hdc and the 1st dc of the next petal, 2 chains, a 3-dc-puff between the last dc and the hdc of the same petal, 5 chains, a 3-dc-puff in the same space, 5 chains
    Repeat 1x
    Fasten off and close the round invisibly in the first chain after the 1st sc.

  • Round 9: Color C
    Start in a chain space between the 3-dc-puff after a 2-chain space.
    2 beginning chains (count as 1 hdc) + 2 hdc in the chain space, 5 hdc in the next 2 chain spaces, 3 hdc + 3 chains + 3 hdc in the next chain space, 3 hdc in the next chain space, 4 hdc in the next chain spaces, 3 hdc in the next chain space, 3 hdc + 3 chains + 3 hdc in the next chain space, 5 hdc in the next 2 chain spaces, 3 hdc + 3 chains + 3 hdc in the next chain space, 3 hdc in the next chain space, 4 hdc in the next chain space, 3 hdc in the next chain space, 3 chains,
    Slip stitch into the 2nd chain of the beginning chain.

  • Round 10:
    2 beginning chains (count as 1 hdc) + 15 hdc,
    1 hdc + 2 chains + 1 hdc in the next chain space, 16 hdc
    Repeat 2x
    1 hdc + 2 chains + 1 hdc in the next chain space.
    Fasten off and close the round invisibly in the first true hdc.
